BYE BYE 2020
Has this been the longest and shortest year ever?
It hasn’t been all bad, I’ve given more attention to my exercise, my eating, ME in general, my business, connection to my mom and creating big changes in our environment moving homes after 25 years in the same spot! ‘20 wasn’t allllllllll bad.
But way more important is how do you want to move forward in the new year? My wish for you is to love your life, to not resist it, but to edit what needs tweaking and CREATE WHAT YOU WANT!
Here’s 3 strategies that I used:
1. Be gentle on yourself. Stop with the beat up on what didn’t get done. Move quickly through the mad at yourself part and give a little gentle understanding to this messed up year. I’m not saying: don’t look back... because I am a big believer in we look ahead with the knowledge of where we’ve been. My review of 2020 and the big takeaways was a powerful way to spend a couple hours and then I shared it with two colleagues what I discovered! (It was a fun and humbling zoom meeting! 2. Be open-hearted about 2021! Think intentionally about your upcoming year (or 90-days). I spent one day considering my reality (looking back) and then got clear on what I want to create in several areas of my life (looking forward)! BEST DAY EVER!! 3. Get some massive support. You know I don’t suffer alone. I reach out, raise my hand in the air and ask for support from my family, my coaches, my peers and other forward-thinking humans that I have access to. Life is not meant to be done alone.
