Big personal news!

We sold our house. I’ve lived here in the same house in Des Moines for 25 years! I was pregnant with my now 24 year old when we moved in. That was a long time ago!!

It sold to the first person for full price. Man, that was the Universe confirming our decision that “it was time”.

I am sad and excited at the same time. Can you relate? I know we can hold 2 very different emotions at the same time. For years I’ve taught others how to hold joy and sorrow, at the SAME time, and now I get to practice it! Again. Sigh.

And I also really have to manage my mind on this one. Here’s the deal:

Many women would’ve had to leave their home in 2008 when that first husband left. AND I GOTTA STAY! (such a blessing to keep something constant in our lives!)

Many women would’ve left their house in 2012 when they got remarried. AND I GOTTA STAY! (such a good perk for my 4 kids who didn’t have to move schools)

So now that allllll the kids have moved out, it’s TIME to write the next chapter!!

Jonathan and I bought a townhouse in West Des Moines and we’ll move in mid-November. And it’s fiiiiiiinally Jonathan and my time to downsize and create our vision of our home together!! (Gosh dang it Jonathan has been a trooper and been so PATIENT! He has slept in my first husband’s bed for nearly a decade!!! COME ON…that…is incredible…patience.)

So what’s the problem? This all is good news, right? Well, I have to admit, part of me is really sad to let go of this house! I brought four newborn babies home to THIS HOUSE! So many memories. So much STUFF!!! 🤯

Here’s what I’m self-coaching myself on about THIS MOVE: Stand tall in painting that beautiful NEW vision with Jonathan and what our future looks like while holding all the trillions of good memories of the past in my heart!

Beth: Don’t be sad that it’s over. Be glad it happened!! Be in gratitude to this old house.

One of my loving, faith-filled clients and friends, Cathy shared this when her parents passed away, “How lucky are we to be this sad.” And I think to myself, YESSSSS!!!! How lucky are we to be this sad!!!! WE GET TO FEEL THIS BLESSED!!!

What’s your vision that you get to hold boldly in front of you?

What are you in gratitude for today?

It would’ve been way easier to just stay comfortable. And yet we know that life is not comfortable. I want to keep creating fun and adventure. I want to keep growing my life. I want to uplevel! Who is with me? Who is ready to get uncomfortable and keep growing!? What area of your life could you use a dose of clarity? Would a thinking partner benefit you? I’d love to connect with you in a FREE COACHING CALL for 30-minutes. Hop on my calendar here or private text me! 515-313-3930.
